News and Blogs

We are putting up a list of the newspapers and blogs that you should read on a daily basis.

San Jose Inside is a blog that is written mostly by the movers and shakers of San Jose while San Jose Revealed is a blog that is written as a voice from the disloyal opposition.

Watch Dog is a well researched blog that surveys the news, develops its own news stories, and is very informative.

The Mission City Lantern is a moody rottweiler who is tame when it is fed, and very nasty when it is not fed. It is unpredictable, cranky, quite entertaining, and best allowed to smell your hand to prevent it from snapping or snarling at you as you pass by.

We need a stimulus for public support

What is lacking in a lot of the blogs and letters to the editor is an acknowledgement that this place we call Santa Clara Valley, from the Stanford Hills to the farmland in MorganHill, is really a great place to live.

We have elected officials who do, at their best, try to serve their constitutents in the best way possible. Our roads are good shape, and though VTA is under utilized, it is still a lot cleaner and lot more efficient than a lot of the transit systems in the state.

We do lack an identity, but we also have communities with identities that make people want to move here, start families here, and live their lives in a valley with good weather and safe communities.

Sure, there are a lot of challenges, but can we also acknowledge there are a lot of opportunities?

Our San Jose City Council is made up of people who want to work hard for the community, and they are dedicated to make San Jose, and help the other cities, a leader in commerce, sports, education, and quality of life.

Our motto should, how can we be part of the solution.

Let's make it happen!
